CRUDE OIL REFINERY
Mini-refinery is a small refinery that fractionates less than 5,000 barrels of crude oil per day by atmospheric distillation. A Modular refinery is a refinery built in sections or modules so that it can be easily transported or relocated. Most mini crude oil refineries are modular in design.

Feedstock Access
There is abundant feedstock available in Ndokwa-land. However, a crude oil supply agreement with a marginal oil field drilling company is required to guarantee regular supplies.

LUBRICANTS BLENDING
LUB OIL BLENDING AND FILLING PLANT
A typical blending plant comprsies of the followng sections:
- Tank farm
- Blending area
- Storage
- Filling
- Packing
Base oils from the tank farm are pumped into the blendng vessels and mixed with additives at the requred tempreature to obtain homgeous mix. There are several methods to achieve optimum blend depending on the product and plant requirements. The blended product is then
Filtered and transferred to storage tanks from where its taken to the filling station and packed in containers or barrels. The entre process can be carried out in a basic manually operated plant or automated plc controled plants.
The lube oils are manufactured to apiorother required specifications.
Various lubricating base oils are charged to blending vessel through flow indicator cum controller in fixed proportions dependng on finished product desired. This is then dehydrated at atmospherc pressure followed by addition of various additives. Subsequently the blended products filtered through centrifugal filter which retains any particle of size above 2-micron. This may then be fiiled packs varying from ½ lit to 210 lit micron.

TYPES OF LUBOILS:
- Different Grade of Engneoil
- Transmission/Gear oil
- Break oil
- Hydraulc oil
- Industrial oil
- Transformer oil
- White oil

vegetabl oil. Greases are applied to mechanisms that can be lubricated only infrequently and where a lubricating oil would not stay in position. They also act as sealants to prevent ingress of water and incompressible materials. Grease-lubricated bearings have greater frictional characteristics because of their high viscosity.
